Idemitsu Petroleum Norge (IPN) is a subsidiary of the Idemitsu group, one of Japan’s largest energy corporations.

We entered the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) in 1989 by acquiring a stake in the Snorre field.

Our office is located in Oslo and we currently employ around 40 highly skilled and experienced professionals.

NEWS

Spring Energy new partner
(Published 10.05.2010)

As of 1 May, Spring Energy is a new partner in Idemitsu's operated license PL 377 S with a 20 % ownership share.

LICENSES

IPN is a partner in six producing oil and gas fields – Fram, Snorre, Statfjord Øst, Sygna, Tordis and Vigdis.

We also participate in a number of discoveries currently being evaluated for development, among them the very promising Afrodite and Jordbær discoveries, as well as the Peon gas discovery.

IPN plans to drill our first operated exploration well in license PL 377 S in early 2011.
