Angela Evans joined IPN as General Counsel in 2017 and brings over 20 years’ experience in oil and gas, renewables and shipping.
A qualified solicitor in England & Wales with bachelor and master’s degrees, Ms Evans has extensive experience advising a broad range of energy companies in multiple jurisdictions.
The current chair of the board of directors, Angela Evans works closely with the IPN board and senior management advising on and overseeing corporate matters.
Deputy General Manager, Exploration & Production Department, Idemitsu Kosan
Yuji Watabiki joined Idemitsu in 1992 soon after graduating from Waseda University with a bachelor’s degree in commerce. He has close to 30 years’ experience within the oil and gas industry.
Mr Watabiki has experience working for various projects in Japan, SE Asia countries, Canada and Norway.
He worked for IPN 5 years as a project coordinator in late 1990s. Mr Watabiki is now in Tokyo as a deputy GM of E&P business of Idemitsu.
Managing Director, Idemitsu Petroleum Norge AS
Futoshi Tsuneyama started his career as a wellsite geologist in 1989 for an onshore project in Myanmar after obtaining a Master of Science from Niigata University, Japan. Since then, he has been working for exploration projects in Pakistan, Vietnam, China, as well as Australia, Venezuela, Colombia and US.
During his career, he was assigned to joint study teams at Unocal and Phillips, he also trained in seismic data processing at Halliburton Geophysical Services and worked in Geophysics Laboratory at Japan National Oil Corporation for a giant field in the Middle East. He conducted a research project on Snorre time-lapse seismic in Stanford University, where he received a PhD degree. After he came back to Idemitsu in 2005, he promoted rock-physics analysis to derive several discoveries as published in SEG/EAGE technical articles. He also worked in the Gas Business Development Department.
Mr Tsuneyama was assigned to his current position as Managing Director in IPN in September 2020.
VP Operations, Idemitsu Petroleum Norge AS
Johan Korsmoe joined Idemitsu in 2003. He has over 30 years’ varied experience in the oil industry.
Prior to joining Idemitsu, Mr Korsmoe worked 14 years in a number of positions for the Norwegian oil company Saga Petroleum included a year seconded to Statoil. The work included early phase field evaluation, engineering, gas transportation, asset management and strategy.
After joining Idemitsu Mr Korsmoe has been assigned to increasingly senior positions and was appointed Vice President in 2012.
Johan Korsmoe holds a Master of science degree (siv.ing) in mechanical engineering from the University of Trondheim.
