Idemitsu + Munch

14. mars 2013

Idemitsu Petroleum Norge (IPN) is happy to announce that we once again have extended our sponsorship agreement with the Munch Museum in Oslo. The new agreement is worth MNOK 10 over the next 5 years.

The partnership between the museum and our company has already lasted for more than 20 years, making it one of the longest cultural sponsorships in Norway.

“Edvard Munch was an innovative artist and a true pioneer. We are proud to be the main sponsor of a world-famous cultural institution like the Munch Museum,” says managing director of IPN, Teruyuki Takahashi.

Since Idemitsu was founded more than 100 years ago, showing responsibility in local communities have been a key management principle for the company. And with the founder, Sazo Idemitsu, being an avid art collector himself, the Munch Museum was a natural choice of partner for what has proved to be an inspiring alliance here in Oslo.

“Also, Munch was praised for his humanism, a value that actually fits really well with Idemitsu’s philosophy of respect for human beings. So we are a great match”, adds Takahashi.
