Duva PDO approved

Idemitsu Petroleum Norge confirms today that its Plan for Development and Operation (PDO) for the Duva (PL 636) project in the North Sea has been approved by Norwegian authorities.

PDO for the Duva project was submitted on 21 February this year.

First production from the project is expected in early 2021 with around 30,000 bbls of oil equivalents per day at maximum production.

The Duva field will be developed through a subsea tie-back connecting the Duva template to the nearby Gjøa platform, operated by Neptune Energy Norge. Duva will be developed with a four-slot subsea template, with two oil producers and one gas production well.

Idemitsu Petroleum Norge’s Managing Director Hiroshi Arikawa, says ”This is a significant milestone for our business in Norway, and for the license partners in Duva. With these plans approved, we remain on track for the successful execution of this important project.”

The Duva partners consists of Idemitsu Petroleum Norge (30%), Pandion Energy (20%), Wellesley Petroleum (20%) and Neptune Energy (30%, Operator).
